Ethiopia to host 2013 US, Sub-Saharan Africa Forum

Government of Ethiopia in association with the Government of the United States would host the 2013 US-Sub-Saharan Africa Trade and Economic Cooperation Forum otherwise known as the AGOA Forum August 12-13, 2013 in Addis Ababa. This is according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The theme of this year’s ministerial level meeting is "Sustainable Transformation through Trade and Technology".  The Forum will include a high level dialogue on the future of US-Africa trade and economic cooperation and involve a variety of private sector and civil society programs.

The Corporate Council on Africa, in collaboration with the Ethiopian Chambers of Commerce and Sectoral Associations will organize a US-Sub-Saharan Africa Trade Exhibition during the Forum.

The African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) is the US Government's trade initiative with Sub-Saharan Africa through which the United States works to expanding trade and investment, and supporting broad-based economic opportunity and prosperity in Sub-Saharan Africa.
